Provenance; The Studio of Tibor Wiener, 1907-1969, Dalia Stanley & Co, 30 November 1997, Lot 163, as Revolution No 2. Comments: Wiener completed a series of 5 large works in the late 1960s, depicting the 1960s student revolutions. Although this painting was titled Revolution 2 in the Studio sale, it is titled Acrobats on the verso. It is not clear whether the exhibition planned for 1970, was to include other large paintings of further subjects with similar themes. Inscribed verso on frame Acrobats/1968 No 28 twice verso
