Comments: Best known for his bequest of two million pounds to Sydney University to establish the Power Institute of Fine Arts, John Wardell Power was also an artist of some stature in Europe in the 1920s and 30s. Most of his work is held by the Gallery of Contemporary Art, Sydney. It rarely appears on the market.
